What’s the difference between volleyball and basketball shoes?

Volleyball shoes are lighter with better lateral traction for indoor play. Basketball shoes are bulkier and tuned for forward motion and shock absorption.

How often should I replace them?

About every 6–12 months or roughly 100–150 hours of play. If traction fades or cushioning feels flat, it’s time to upgrade.

Can I wear volleyball shoes outside?

Not recommended—the softer indoor rubber wears down quickly on concrete or asphalt.

Which shoe is best for ankle support?

High-tops like the Ace Highlight or shoes with straps and robust sidewalls (e.g., Hyperset 2) add stability. Pairing supportive shoes with ankle braces can help.

Why do my feet slip side to side?

Usually loose lacing, insufficient midfoot support, or a shoe that’s too wide. Re-lace tightly, use lockdown features, or try a narrower fit.

Should I size up or down?

Many players go a half size up for toe room on landings, especially in snug wrap designs like the Hyperset 2.
